About
The department of environmental engineering includes the main branches of Environmental Sciences and Environmental Technologies. It is an interdisciplinary engineering branch that includes basic and applied sciences to produce solutions that will protect and improve the health of organisms and increase the quality of the environment, including ecosystem components. It focuses on ensuring the natural balance in the face of increasing consumption and decreasing natural resources.
In the department of environmental engineering, basic courses such as mathematics, biology, physics, chemistry and basic operations, drinking water treatment and application, wastewater treatment and application, noise, water and air pollution, which will provide the professional knowledge and skills required by environmental engineering, have been adopted. Internships have been planned with theoretical and practical studies such as environmental microbiology, environmental biotechnology, environmental chemistry, computer use, development and best use of hydraulic, air, water and soil resources, control and prevention of pollution; designing systems for rendering solid, liquid and gas waste harmless to the environment using innovative techniques.
The aim of the environmental engineering department is to train environmental engineers who can analyze environmental problems, requirements, follow developments in science and technology, design, have business, and management skills, can work nationally and internationally, contribute to the development of the country, carry professional and ethical responsibilities and constantly renew themselves.
